Police Officer Injured In Multi-Vehicle Accident In Germantown

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A Philadelphia Police officer was among three people injured in a mutli-vehicle accident early Thursday morning in the Germantown section of the city.

This happened around 12:45 a.m. near the intersection of Haines Street and Chew Avenue.

Police say an SUV hit a car, then the car that was struck hit a police cruiser.

The officer was taken to Roxborough Hospital in stable condition with non life-threatening injuries. The other two people were taken to Einstein Hospital, also in stable condition.

Exactly what initially caused the accident remains under investigation.
