Police Investigate South Philadelphia Sexual Assault

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Philadelphia Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying a suspect in connection to an indecent assault.

On July 18, a woman was walking on the 1500 block of South 13th Street at about 1:30 a.m. when an unknown man grabbed her around the waist and sexually assaulted her, according to police.

The suspect fled on foot westbound on Annin Street.

The man is described as a hispanic male, 25-30 years old and about 5 feet 9 inches tall. At the time of the attack he was wearing all black clothing and an Adidas hat.

The victim believed the man to be a laborer or construction worker.

Police ask that if you see this individual you call 911 and do not approach him.
