The Pod Hotel Will Be Philly's First-Ever Micro-Hotel
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Construction is underway on a new hotel in Philadelphia -- probably unlike any you've ever stayed at before.
Ground was broken Tuesday on the Pod Hotel Philly at 19th and Ludlow.
It is Philadelphia's first-ever micro-hotel. That is a hotel with deliberately small rooms, but common gathering spaces designed to promote socialization among travelers.
The 11-story hotel will open in September 2019.
