Phillies Place Michael Young On The Bereavement List, Call Up Hernandez
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Phillies have placed third basement Michael Young on the bereavement list, and called up Cesar Hernandez from Triple A Lehigh Valley to take his spot on the Phillies 25-man roster.
The Phillies did not offer an explanation for Young's placement on the bereavement list.
The bereavement list is used when a player has a death or serious illness in their immediate family. Players must miss a minimum of three games when placed on the list, and can miss a maximum of seven games.
