Philadelphia officer hit by car while directing traffic after Phillies game, police say

A Philadelphia officer directing traffic after the Phillies game was hit by a car Wednesday night, police said. 

It happened at around 9:20 p.m. at Broad Street and Packer Avenue, according to police.

Police said the officer was taken to a local hospital with a leg injury. 

The driver in the striking vehicle stayed on the scene, police said.

It's unclear what led to the crash.
