Philadelphia Police Officer Injured After Crash Near Stadiums
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A police officer is recovering after a crash Sunday near the stadiums in South Philadelphia. The accident happened shortly before 11:30 a.m. Sunday on the 300 block of Packer Avenue.
Investigators say the driver was coming off the Packer Avenue exit from the Walt Whitman Bridge and smashed into the officer's car on Sunday.
The officer went to Jefferson Hospital for medical treatment.
No word on the condition of the other driver.
