Philadelphia Parking Authority On The Move

By Lynne Adkins

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Philadelphia Parking Authority is moving the end of April and it should be more convenient for city residents.

The PPA is moving into the old Lit Brothers Department Store at 7th and Market Streets in Center City. Deputy Executive Director, Richard Dickson says the services will remain the same.

"Purchase residential parking permits," he says, "renew residential parking permits, get visitor pass parking permits, address those situations where vehicle registrations have been suspended for failure to pay parking permits and they'll have the ability to pay parking tickets there.

If you have a dispute and need a hearing, you'll still need to go to a different location, which will now only be a block away.

Dickson says rent on the new building is cheaper and it's more convenient with buses, trains and subways nearby.
