Philadelphia Officer Injured While Pursuing Suspect
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A Philadelphia police officer broke a leg while chasing the driver of a motorcycle Friday night in the city's Point Breeze neighborhood.
It happened near 22nd and Mountain streets a little after 8 p.m. Authorities say the officer was pursuing the suspect on foot when he broke his leg. It's not clear how the injury happened.
The unidentified officer was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he is in stable condition.
Authorities say the suspect, who officers considered to be suspicious, was arrested.
