Penn State's THON Raises Record-Breaking Total To Fight Childhood Cancer
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (CBS) -- The fundraising extravaganza, THON, wrapped up at Penn State University in Happy Valley on Sunday. This weekend marked the 50th anniversary of the 46-hour no-sitting, no-sleeping, dance marathon to raise money for childhood cancer patients.
Students danced for nearly three days straight with no breaks.
THON raised a record $13.7 million dollars for the kids.
