Orange Army Of Volunteers Help Transform Campground Into Homes For Vets
FRANKLINVILLE, N.J. (CBS) –- With four micro-houses for veterans almost ready for delivery, Operation Safe Haven needed a hand preparing their grounds and they got about 200.
More than 100 employees from nine Home Depot stores in South Jersey volunteered their day clearing debris and fixing up old structures at the former campground on Delsea Drive that will soon house homeless veterans.

"It seems like every morning the phone rings and there's something new, something exciting," says Pastor Donnie Davis, the founder of Amazing Grace Ministries which launched Operation Safe Haven.
He says Home Depot not only donated workers they gave a check for more than $10,000 which will pay for a 300 square-foot micro house.
Each fall, Home Depot employees do volunteer projects as part of their Celebration of Service Campaign.
"We give back to our community by helping out our veterans in need. We were able to partner with Donnie to make sure we were able to have a day of impact," says Home Depot district manager Corey Lilliston.
