By Al Novack

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Police are investigating two stabbing incidents in Philadelphia, one of which left one person dead.

In West Oak Lane, a 33-year-old woman was stabbed in the neck at around 2 a.m. Friday. Police are still investigating, but say the incident happened because of some kind of dispute between the victim and another woman.

Authorities say the incident occurred on the 7200 block of Ogontz Avenue. The suspect was arrested a short distance away after attempting to flee the area.

In North Philadelphia, on the 3200 Block of Carlisle Street, police say a 24-year-old woman was stabbed at around 3:30 a.m. The victim is listed in stable condition at Temple University Hospital. Police are not releasing any other details.
