Officer Assaulted In North Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Authorities arrested the man who allegedly attacked a Philadelphia police officer in North Philadelphia on Saturday.
Police say the officer on duty spotted a suspect acting suspicious outside a restaurant near 5th and Lehigh streets. The suspect then allegedly attacked the officer, putting him in a choke hold. Authorities say the suspect fled in a car but was later apprehended.
The officer was not seriously injured and is expected to be okay, according to police.
