New Greek Restaurant Added To The List Of Trendy Spots In Midtown

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – There's a new restaurant addition to Philadelphia's Midtown Village community in the city's Washington Square West neighborhood.

13th Street seems to be on fire with new restaurants, and the newest addition to the 13th Street corridor at 1311 Sansom Street is a Greek restaurant called Opa, owned by a brother and sister team, George and Vasiliki Tsouris.

Kuznits: "Vasiliki, be honest -- what's it like to work with your brother?"

Vasiliki: "I love it!"

They say they brought in a master of Greek cooking to help get chef Andy Brown ready for the opening:

"Andrew's been great, you know he really picked up on the Greek cuisine and we even brought my mother here for a little bit to get him into the Greek cuisine but there's a lot of staples of home cooking in here."

So what does "Opa" mean?

"Opa…translates to glee."

Make sure you pronounce it correctly!"
