New Beer Distribution System Debuts At Wells Fargo Center

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A new beer distribution system that claims to fill cups nine times faster than standard taps made its debut at the Wells Fargo Center Tuesday night.

It's called "BottomsUp," and as is suggests, your cup is filled from the bottom in less than two seconds.

The makers of the system say it could make beer lines move nine times faster than a regular tap system because up to four cups can be filled at once.

The cup is placed on a pump which connects to the magnet at the bottom of the glass; the beer pushes the magnet up and pours beer in from the bottom. When the beer gets to the top, the magnet comes down and seals the beer in.

According to GrinOn, the system reduces draft beer waste, saves money and time, and improves operational efficiency.

The "BottomsUp" cups debuted during the Flyers and Canadiens game Tuesday night.
