PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Authorities say Jaiden Elliot, the missing 2-year-old who was allegedly taken by his father, has been found unharmed and has been returned to his mother.

Officers arrived at the 5500 block of Walnut Street around 3:00 a.m. to respond to a reported break-in.

When they arrived, the missing boy's mother said that 25 year-old Jonathan Elliot broke into her home through the front window, punched her several times and grabbed their son.

She said he fled from the residence in a black newer model Nissan Altima with the Pennsylvania tags JKT-4916.

Police say the father, Johnathan Elliot, is not in custody at this time. The incident remains under investigation.
