Michigan Man Plows The Question, Cuts 'Marry Me' Into Wheat Field
AU GRES, Mich. (CBS) -- Lisa Marshall fielded a big question -- literally -- after her boyfriend of three years cut the words "marry me" into the wheat field on his family's farm last week.
"When she saw it she had just a look of shock and was completely speechless," said Marshall's now fiance, Devin Huber. "The pilot had to actually ask her if she said yes cause he didn't hear her!"
The 24-year-old Huber got the proposal idea from the movie "Son in Law" where one of the characters writes "the end" in the corn field in the last scene of the film.
He plowed the letters one by one after the wheat had been harvested for the season but says he didn't know how his message would turn out until he and Marshall took a planned plane ride that ended with a perfect view of the wheat field masterpiece.
Luckily for Huber his message came out perfectly -- and was well received by Marshall who said "yes!"
