Man Struck, Killed By SEPTA Bus In Frankford

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A man died after being struck by a SEPTA bus in Northeast Philadelphia early Thursday morning.

The incident happened shortly after midnight at the Frankford Transportation Center located at Bridge Street in Frankford.

According to police, a 34-year-old man reportedly stepped in front of a Route 14 SEPTA bus as it was pulling into the terminal.

The unidentified man was rushed to Hahnemann University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Investigators said no charges are expected to be filed against the SEPTA bus driver.

The deadly incident remains under investigation.
