Man In Custody After Stealing Ambulance From Methodist Hospital, Philadelphia Police Say
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police say a man is in custody after he stole an ambulance from Methodist Hospital in South Philadelphia Tuesday evening. The medic unit was recovered by police at Broad and Christian Streets in the city's Graduate Hospital section.
The suspect was taken into custody.
Police say the ambulance was empty at the time and did not have any patients inside.
Police say the man will likely not face charges due to a mental illness.
