EAST BRADFORD TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) -- A man and his dog had to be rescued after falling into an icy pond in East Bradford Township Friday morning.
West Chester police and fire crews were called to the 800 block of West Strasburg Road around 8:30 a.m. A man and his dog were in the pond for 10 to 15 minutes and could not get back to land.
This morning at 8:24 AM, The West Chester Police Department along with the West Chester Fire Department and Good Fellowship Ambulance responded to the 800 block of West Strasburg Rd, East Bradford Township for a water rescue. The caller advised one male subject and a dog were in the pond for ten to fifteen minutes and could not reach land. Officers from the West Chester Police Department arrived within minutes to find the male and his dog approximately forty feet into the pond. Officers deployed a small boat that was on the property and assisted the male subject and his dog to shore. The male subject was evaluated by EMS at the scene.
