PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- As a convicted felon, Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane is announcing her resignation.
St. Vincent law professor Bruce Antkowiak says Grand Jury leaks are taken seriously, and while at times, it's impossible to prevent them, it's especially egregious when one comes from the top law enforcement officer in the state.
"And if you add to that proof that the leak was to carry out some personal, political vendetta against someone else that had wronged you politically is something that no prosecutor can imagine, much less justify," said Antkowiak.
The main target of the grand jury investigation which Kane leaked was never charged.
Antkowiak says her resignation is the first step on restoring the office's integrity.
