Husband and Wife Injured In Norristown Fire
NORRISTOWN (CBS) - A one alarm fire in Norristown (Montgomery County) has injured a husband and wife and damaged four two-story row homes.
The blaze was reported at 1:20 this morning inside a home at 1016 Stanbridge Street. Fire crews arriving on the scene found fire quickly spreading and immediately rescued a woman who told firefighters that her husband was still trapped inside.
Fire rescue crews battled flames, entered the home and pulled out the trapped man.
He was flown by helicopter to the Temple University Hospital's burn unit. The woman was taken by ambulance to Montgomery Hospital in Norristown.
The fire was placed under control within 46-minutes. There's no word on the cause which remains under investigation.
