Home Video Report: Quentin Tarantino Collection
By Bob Nelson
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Quentin Tarantino is one of the most fascinating directors in the business, turning in seven features in 20 years.
Now on the home video market is a collection of quirky films from one of our quirkiest directors.
Whether or not you're a fan of his baroque brand of celluloid mayhem, there's no denying his passion and his special brand of intensity.
You certainly should check out this new eight-film collection in a Blu-ray boxed set. It includes the classic Reservoir Dogs and the Nazi-slaughtering World War II fantasia Inglourious Basterds.
Each of Tarantino's films is what might be termed a spotless, high-def, deck-shuffling masterpiece. There's Pulp Fiction, the bittersweet Jackie Brown, and True Romance, which he wrote but didn't direct.
The new Blu-ray set of Tarantino's early movies leaves the impression that his next decade might be just as memorable as his first two.
