Geno's Steaks Launches New Weekly Contest; Winners Get Free Cheesesteaks

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – In a city of cheesesteaks, two neon-bedecked shops on opposing corners of Passyunk Avenue always seem to command the spotlight.
Now, the flashier of the two is launching a contest that offers winners free steaks.
Geno's has announced it will be launching a weekly social media competition on Facebook and Instagram.
The cheesesteak mecca will post photos from its new ad campaign with the hashtag #TheRealThing that are tagged by @GenosSteaks. Users will then have to guess the location in Philadelphia that the photo was taken and reply under the photo with the hashtag and the correct answer. One winner chosen at random from all the correct answers each week will earn a gift certificate for a free cheesesteak.
Geno's will kick off the contest on Saturday, Nov. 9th, and the lucky winner will be chosen Monday or Tuesday. Winners will be notified via Facebook or Instagram and will then need to provide a mailing address for the gift certificate.
The best part of the entire contest? Winning it makes choosing between Pat's and Geno's on a Friday night a whole lot easier.
