Ingredients
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 tbs. of cinnamon
6 Brioche bread cut thick
6 eggs
1 cup of milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 oz of dark rum
pinch of salt
2 bananas sliced
2 tbs. of butter
powdered sugar
1/2 cup of hazelnut chocolate spread
Directions
1. Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Mix in brown sugar and butter,
stirring until sugar is dissolved.
2. Add dark rum and bananas and reduce to a syrup consistency and the bananas are soft
3. In a separate bowl (big enough to dip the bread into) add milk, eggs, cinnamon, vanilla
extract and pinch of salt and whisk until blended
4. Soak bread slices in the egg mixture until saturated.
5. Heat a lightly buttered griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Brown slices on
both sides.
6. Take two pieces of the cooked bread and spread the hazelnut chocolate on one side of
each piece and combine the pieces to make a sandwich.
7. Place the sandwich on the plate and pour the warm banana mixture over the bread,
sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.
