First Ever Phila. Interfaith Children's Festival in Germantown

GERMANTOWN (KYW NEWSRADIO 1060) -- This weekend, it's the first ever Philadelphia Interfaith Children's Festival in Germantown.

KYW's Karin Phillips reports that a number of faith-based organizations around Philadelphia are collaborating on the first ever Philadelphia Interfaith Children's Festival, a free outdoor festival for youth that celebrates the diversity of faith traditions around Philadelphia.

Neomosha Nelson is executive director of the Metropolitan Christian Council of Philadelphia:

"It is just incredible the way that people have come together and share a common vision for humanity. It might sound corny and cliché, but that stuff is real."

There's a special section where kids can learn about the Koran and Islam:

"One of the best things that has happened is the controversy in Florida because it's made people in the faith community actually step up to the plate."
