Fire Tears Through Home In Wilmington
WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) -- Fire officials are investigating the cause of an early morning fire that ripped through a home in Wilmington, Delaware.
Fire crews were dispatched to the 200 block of South Ford Avenue in Colonial Heights for a house fire shortly before 1:00 a.m. Saturday. They arrived to find flames shooting from the home.
Firefighters were able to contain the blaze, but the home suffered heavy damage.
Authorities say the residence was not occupied at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
State fire investigators were called to the scene and are currently looking into the origin and cause of the fire.
