2 children injured, others rescued from West Philadelphia fire, emergency officials say
Two children were injured and multiple people were rescued from a fire in West Philadelphia Wednesday night, according to Philly Fire Dispatch.
The fire started around 10 p.m. in the area of South 55th and Ludlow streets, according to fire dispatch.
One of the children is in critical condition, while the other is being treated for their injuries, fire dispatch said.
The Red Cross said early Thursday that it's providing emergency assistance to four people following the fire.
It's unclear how the fire started.
