GLEN MILLS, Pa. (CBS) -- Filling up your gas tank at the pump is getting a little less painful.

The good news for drivers in the Delaware Valley is that the average price for gasoline is now $3.18 per gallon.

The better news is there are quite a few gas stations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey where you can now find regular gas for under $3.00 a gallon.

"We've waited for this day to come," said one man.  "It's wonderful."

Said another:  "It's pretty nice to pay a little bit less at the pump nowadays."

At a Wawa on Baltimore Pike in Glen Mills (Delaware County), Pa., drivers had big plans for the money they were saving.

"I bought a cup of coffee.  I went for the big one!  I went for the 24-ouncer."
