PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Delaware County man whom authorities say crashed his Jeep through a gate at Philadelphia International Airport in March and disrupted the landing of a plane has been formally charged with disrupting air traffic.

Kenneth Mazik, 24, of Chadds Ford, Pa., is charged in a criminal information document released by the US attorney's office in Philadelphia with disrupting air traffic and endangering airport safety.

He remains free on $250,000 bail, with electronic monitoring of his whereabouts.

Federal investigators say Mazik crashed through a locked gate at the perimeter of the airport on March 1st and turned onto a runway where an incoming plane was beginning its landing approach (see previous story).

The plane was diverted by an air traffic controller.  Philadelphia police pursued Mazik and stopped him on a taxiway, where he was taken into custody.
