FBI Search For Montgomery County Bank Robber Continues Following Latest Robbery In North Wales

NORTH WALES (CBS) -- The FBI is working with local law enforcement to identify a man they call the 'Straw Hat Bandit.' They say he's been robbing banks all over Montgomery County since 2012, including a bank Saturday morning in North Wales.

Authorities say they are searching for a man about 6-foot, wearing a khaki-colored hat, and face cover. Police say, he entered a PNC bank in North Wales around 10 a.m.

Dubbed the Straw Hat Bandit for his unique disguises, the FBI and Montgomery County officials have been tracking the armed robber since as early as June 2012.

So far, he's hit banks in Horsham, Ambler, Dresher, Plymouth Meeting, among others.  Officials say he has a muscular-stocky build and wears rubber gloves and a suit when he strikes.

There's a 10-thousand dollar reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
