Inovio Pharmaceuticals, based in Plymouth Meeting, has developed an experimental vaccine.
They just received approval to start testing the vaccine on people in a few weeks.
Researchers hope the vaccine will help prepare the immune system to combat the mosquito-borne virus, which is linked to birth defects.
