Police Investigating Double Shooting In North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police are investigating a double shooting on the 1600 block of Widener Place in North Philadelphia that happened just after 10 p.m. Sunday night.

According to police, the male victim claims he was sitting in front of his house on Widener Street around 10:18 p.m. with some friends. The second victim, a female, was on the steps at another house on the street listening to music with her friends as well. A third male was getting into his 2000 Honda Civic parked on the block and said he knows the other two victims.

All three victims claimed they heard multiple gunshots but did not see who was firing. The male victim, 20, on the steps, was shot in the back of the leg twice and is in stable condition.

The female, 45, was shot in her abdomen and right leg and is in critical condition.

The third victim, 20, did not sustain any injuries, but his car windshield was reportedly damaged. That man says he got into his car and sped off following the incident "in fear for his life."

An investigation is ongoing with no suspects or motives at this time.
