Police: Student Charged For Drunkenly Going To Bed In The Wrong House

NEWARK, De. (CBS) -- Police in Newark say a man apparently had too much to drink and somehow wound up going to bed in the wrong home.

Officials say that on Friday, August 5, around 2:00 a.m., police responded to a home on the 300 block of Delaware Circle.

A woman, 36, called authorities and reported that she woke up with an unknown man lying next to her in bed. According to the report, when she contacted the police, the man stated that he lived there.

The man, appearing to be intoxicated, ran down the stairs and left the home. Police searched the home and found a damaged window air condition that had been moved, shoes, a cell phone and a wallet with identification inside belonging to Andrew Koster.

Officials contacted Koster, 21, and discovered that he too lives on that block.

The University of Delaware student was charged with trespassing and criminal mischief.
