THE DEFENSE:
Q: Where and how did you get your car?
A: Bought the car at Avis VW in Pole Tavern, New Jersey.
Q: How would you describe your purchasing experience?
A: It was a great experience. If you're going to buy a VW in Jersey, go to Avis.
Q: What neighborhood do you live in?
Q: How old are you?
A: Twenty-seven.
Q: What's your car's main use?
A: More than anything, I drive her to and from work. I spend at least 10 hours in my car a week. I drive as much and as often as possible because I love to drive.
Q: Tell me more about your commute to work. Where do you drive?
A: I purposely drive back roads to actually be able to drive my car as opposed to sitting in the highway. I commute to King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, but our office is moving to Conshohocken, Pennsylvania soon.
Q: Aside from commutes, what kind of day trips do you take?
A: I like to drive to the shore in the summer--always a pleasurable drive with the windows down and the music up.
Q: Where's the furthest place you've driven to with this car?
A: In July of this year, I drove to Rhode Island and that was awesome. Nowhere too crazy yet. The drive should have taken six hours, but due to the nightmare they call I-95 in Connecticut, it took eight and a half hours.
Q: Do you have any rules in your car?
A: My fiancée loved to put her feet up on the dash of my old car. That's a no-no in the new one, no footprints on my windshield. Also, no one is allowed to smoke in my car.
Q: What do you listen to in your car?
A: I can't drive unless there is music. Silence in death. I love classic rock.
Q: Does your car have a theme song?
A: My car's theme song would "Fat Bottomed Girls" by Queen because she's a bit wide in the back.
Q: If your car had a human emotion, what would it be and why?
A: She's a sexy, smart, and aggressive, little beast. Sexy, because just look at those lines! Smart, due to great gas mileage. Aggressive because she's got great power for a little package.
Q: How long do you plan on keeping the Yaris?
A: I bought her when pieces started falling off of my old car. I've had her for just eight months now, and I'll definitely keep her for over 100,000 miles.
Q: What do you think your next car will realistically be?
A: My next car, more than likely, will be a small—preferably German—SUV. Family life is just around the corner after all.
Q: What would your absolute dream car be?
A: My absolute dream car is an Aston Martin V12 Vanguish.
Q: Is there anything else we should know about your car?
A: It's a great ride. VW has made leaps and bounds in the evolution of this vehicle. It's got great gas mileage and it's a super fun ride.
