Collinsworth: Eagles Take Ronnie Stanley, A Future '15-Year Cornerstone At Tackle'
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- There are so many mock drafts. But there's only one Cris Collinsworth mock draft.
The NBC Sunday Night Football TV commentator, former three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver, and owner of ProFootballFocus.com released his 2016 round-one mock draft on Tuesday. He has the Philadelphia Eagles selecting an offensive lineman with pick No. 8.
Collinsworth believes Howie Roseman, Doug Pederson, and company will take Notre Dame offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley.
"Stanley has been a rock for the Fighting Irish, and I have seen most of the games because my son Austin played for the team," Collinsworth wrote via PFF.com. "Stanley will be a 15-year cornerstone at tackle on an offensive line that needs help. You could argue the Eagles need more help inside, but Stanley is one of those key cornerstones you can't pass on."
Of note, Collinsworth has the now Los Angeles Rams trading up to pick No. 1 to take QB Carson Wentz. At No. 7, Collinsworth has our old buddy Chip Kelly and the San Francisco 49ers selecting Oregon DE, DeForest Buckner.
