Chris Christie For President In 2016?
PENNSAUKEN, NJ (CBS) - New Jersey Governor Chris Christie became a star of sorts on the campaign trail this past election and there has been talk of his White House aspirations.
Governor Christie made campaign appearances in 15 states sparking speculation the governor will make a run for the White House in 2012.
However, on a Sunday morning talk show, Christie says he is fully committed to finishing out his term as governor. Then, depending how things look, he may consider a presidential run in 2016.
Good news in the opinion of this voter:
"I'm a teacher, actually and I know teachers aren't thrilled to death with him, but I think with the mess the state was in, yeah, I think he's done a good job."
Another Christie supporter says the governor would be refreshing on the national scene since he doesn't rely on the typical talking points:
"He doesn't mince words and he comes to the point. You're not going to always like what he has to say, but sometimes you have to make hard decisions."
Not everyone from New Jersey thinks Christie would be a good fit for the White House:
"Forget it, look what he's doing to the teachers and the schools, he got this state worse than it ever was, you can't afford to live here."
This New Jersey voter says Christie's budget cuts are making things more expensive:
"All the other taxes get worse when the state taxes go down, it just makes everything worse."
