Protesters Gather During Street Renaming Ceremony For Former Mayor Goode

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A portion of a street in Overbrook has been named for former Philadelphia Mayor Wilson Goode.
However, the honor was met with strong opposition.
The renaming ceremony was held on North 59th Street.
Mayor Goode is celebrated as the first African American mayor in Philadelphia, but he also has many critics.
That's because in May of 1985 Goode allowed the police commissioner to drop a bomb on the "Move" headquarters
Eleven people were killed.
Current Mayor Jim Kenney acknowledged the many good works Wilson has done since that tragedy.
