Bon Jovi, Springsteen And Others To Host Hurricane Sandy Benefit Concert

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – With much of the East Coast devastated by Hurricane Sandy, a number of musicians have decided to hold a benefit concert for the American Red Cross.

Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Christina Aguilera, Sting and Billy Joel will participate in "Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together," which will air at 8 p.m. Eastern Time on Friday, Nov. 2nd. The concert will be broadcast on networks owned by NBC Universal, including NBC, MSNBC, CNBC, Bravo and others. Other artists are expected to be added to the lineup, and the event will be hosted by Matt Lauer. Brian Williams and Jimmy Fallon are slated to make appearances.

Proceeds generated by the concert will be donated to the American Red Cross' disaster relief efforts. To donate, visit RedCross.org, call 1-800-RED-CROSS or text the word REDCROSS to 90999 to give $10.
