For Bloggers of Color, Two Days of F2F in Philadelphia
By Melony Roy
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Bloggers from across the country have decended on Philadelphia for the fifth annual "Blogging While Brown" conference.
It's a social media and technology confence for bloggers of color.
"We've been around since 2008, and we're all about the education and collaboration of black bloggers in the blogosphere," says executive director Aminah Hanan (right). "So what we do is, we come together, we try to educate about things going on in the digital space, as well as how they can monetize those things and make money. It's also a great networking event -- may of us have known each other for years online but we've never met face to face."
About 300 bloggers are expected to attend this conference today and tomorrow, at the Chemical Heritage Foundation, Third and Chestnut Streets in Old City.
