BLOG: Mercer County Dog Walk on Sunday
By Jim Donovan: It's expected to be a beautiful weekend so why not take a stroll with your dog? Pet Rescue of Mercer County, New Jersey is holding their 3rd Annual "Proud Of My Dog Walk" fundraiser this Sunday, June 5th from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. The event will be at Veteran's Park, Court Games Pavilion on Kuser Road in Hamilton, NJ.
Proceeds from the Dog Walk help to fund Pet Rescue of Mercer which is an all volunteer, not-for-profit animal 501 (c)(3) rescue group based in Mercer County, NJ. PRM rescues neglected, abused, and abandoned animals from local shelters by finding quality homes for them.
Founded in 1997 Pet Rescue of Mercer is a grass roots organization, built on a foundation of community compassion. PRM was created when two people shared their concern over the plight of stray and abandonded animals at a random meeting in an animal shelter parking lot. From that day, they have grown one person, one phone call, one meeting, one dollar at a time.
Last year Pet Rescue of Mercer placed almost 400 animals in homes around the region.
