Additional Details of This Year's Philadelphia Flower Show Revealed

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Considering the difficult winter we're trying to get through, any glimmer of turning the corner toward spring is much appreciated.
And organizers of this year's Philadelphia Flower Show are coming to our rescue!
A theme is picked for each year's show, and this year's edition, March 1st through 9th, is called "ARTiculture," exploring the "fusion of art and horticulture."
"It will be the ultimate mashup, creating spectacular exhibits like you've never seen before," says Drew Becher, president of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society.
He says the show will be a collaboration of floral and landscape designers and the nation's great art museums including the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Barnes Foundation, the Penn Museum, the Getty in Los Angeles, and the Guggenheim in New York.
Philadelphia deputy mayor Alan Greenberger says the Flower Show is expected to attract more than 250,000 visitors and have a $65-million economic impact on the region. But, he adds, there is an overarching reason to savor the gorgeous gardens and inspired displays:
"God knows we're interested in the first sign of spring right about now."
Tickets for the Philadelphia Flower Show are $27. Student tickets are $20, and children's tickets are $15.
