A Warning To Parents Who Coach Their Kids

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Little league practices are underway as well as many other youth sports. This is a great time of year, with the opportunity for kids and their families to take advantage of the warmer weather and longer days to get out and play. But not all is perfect. One of the major issues for kids, especially those coached by parents, is being asked to do too much too soon. This can lead to overuse injuries. When kids play on their own without parents they tend to self-regulate. In other words, when they are tired they rest. But when parents are involved they try to please them. So be careful don't push them and ruin what should be fun and exercise
