3 Marines Honoring A Pair Of Fallen Brothers-In-Arms With 'The Long Walk'

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Three Marines from our area embarked on a 100-mile walk Tuesday morning to honor two of their fallen brothers-in-arms and to raise money for two charities in their names.
Sergeants Devon Richio, Steven Walls, and Andrew Einstein all departed from the Liberty Bell headed to Ground Zero in New York with backpacks and service dogs in toe.
The trio now all work in public service, two as Philadelphia Fire Fighters, and the other as a cop in New Jersey, and are hoping to raise awareness for people with PTSD, showing that it can be overcome with help.
And that's where the dogs come in to play. Sgt. Einstein says his dog Gunner saved his life.
"I don't know where I'd be without him." said Sgt. Einstein. "When I got back things were rough, and him coming into my life, they changed drastically. He's allowed me to do things I never thought I'd be able to do again."
The group will travel about 10-miles per day and arrive in New York by September 10th. Once there they'll take part in a number of 9-11 memorials.
