22nd Annual Dining Out For Life Is This Thursday

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Dining Out For Life takes place this Thursday at participating restaurants.

Kevin Burns of ActionAIDS says this week, making a dinner date at a participating restaurant can help a good cause.

"On Thursday, April 26th, they will donate 33% of what they bring in on dinner that night to support services for people with HIV and AIDS."

It's for the 22nd annual Dining Out For Life.

"Dining Out for Life raises money to support services for people living with HIV and AIDS in the Delaware Valley."

He says there are about 20,000 people in the region living with HIV and AIDS.

"We have an infection rate among young people between the ages of 13-24 that is higher than in some African countries."

And restaurants are not only in Philadelphia, but in South Jersey and the suburbs, "and all of that money stays in those communities to support services for AIDS."
