2 Women Struck By Suspected DUI Driver, Critically Injured In Center City
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Two women were seriously injured overnight after they were struck by a suspected DUI driver in Center City.
It happened around 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the 1100 block of Market Street.
Police say a 27-year-old woman and a 22-year-woman were in the crosswalk when they were struck by a Dodge Ram truck.
Both women were taken to Hahnemann Hospital in extremely critical condition.
The driver, a 45-year-old man, remained on the scene. He was taken into police custody for DUI testing.
There was no word on any charges against the driver.
