PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Jalen Hurts had three total touchdowns as the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Miami Dolphins, 31-17, at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday night. 

A.J. Brown and Dallas Goedert each hauled in touchdown passes from Hurts in the win, while Kenneth Gainwell added a rushing score in the fourth quarter. 

The win improves the Birds to 6-1 on the season.

Birds beat Dolphins

Jalen Hurts had three total touchdowns as the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Miami Dolphins, 31-17, at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday night.

Kennenth Gainwell's TD adds to Eagles lead

Kenneth Gainwell scored a 3-yard rushing touchdown to give the a 31-17 lead late in the fourth quarter over the Dolphins. 

The touchdown was set-up by a 42-yard pass from Jalen Hurts to A.J. Brown.

Darius Slay intercepts Tua Tagovailoa

The Dolphins were threatening deep in Eagles' territory, but Darius Slay came to the rescue.  

Slay picked off Tua Tagovailoa near the end zone and returned it for 16 yards. 

The interception is Slay's second of the year.

A.J. Brown gives Birds lead

After not finding the end zone early in the game, A.J. Brown scored on a 14-yard touchdown pass from Jalen Hurts to give the Birds a 24-17 lead. 

Brown now has six catches for 78 yards to go along with his score. 

The touchdown drive was a nice bounce-back drive for Hurts and the Eagles' offense after he turned the ball over.

Dolphins tie game on interception

Tough break for Jalen Hurts. 

Hurts' pass intended for A.J. Brown was deflected and the fell into the hands of linebacker Jerome Baker, who ran it back 22 yards for a score to tie the game, 17-17, in the third quarter. 

That's Hurts' second turnover of the night and his fifth in the past two games.

Dolphins turn the ball over on downs

The Dolphins gambled to go for it on fourth-and-three but turned the ball over on downs late in the third quarter.

Tua Tagovailoa tossed a pass to wideout Cedrick Wilson, but it fell incomplete. Eagles cornerback James Bradberry looked like he got away with one on the play. It could've been ruled a pass interference after he grabbed Wilson's facemask.

Eagles lead Dolphins at halftime

Jalen Hurts and Dallas Goedert scored touchdowns as the Birds lead the Dolphins, 17-10, at halftime. 

Hurts turned the ball over on a fumble, but otherwise, he's had a solid night. He's completed 12 of his 15 passes for 143 yards and one score to Goedert. 

Goedert leads the team in receiving with 67 yards on four catches. 

Hurts' best play of the night so far happened right before his 1-yard touchdown. 

Late in the second quarter on fourth-and-three, Hurts improvised and connected with A.J. Brown on a 33-yard pass. It was initially ruled a touchdown, but a review showed Brown was down on the 1-yard line. 

The Dolphins' offense was kept in check for most of the first half, but then Tyreek Hill did Tyreek Hill things. 

Hill flew past the Eagles' defense and hauled in a 27-yard touchdown pass from Tua Tagovailoa late in the second quarter. 

Josh Sweat and rookie Nolan Smith recorded sacks and plenty of other Eagles like Haason Reddick and Jalen Carter have been in the backfield throughout the game. 

Dolphins wideout Jaylen Waddle is questionable to return to the game with a back injury.

Tyreek Hill burns Eagles defense

Tyreek Hill, like he does usually every week, flew right past the Eagles' defense and scored on a 27-yard touchdown pass.

The touchdown cuts the Eagles' lead to 17-10 with less a minute left in the first half.

Jalen Hurts scores after pass to A.J. Brown

Jalen Hurts scored a rushing touchdown on the "tush-push" after he connected with A.J. Brown for a 33-yard pass. 

The pass was initially ruled a touchdown, but after review, it revealed that Brown was down at the 1-yard line. 

The Eagles lead the Dolphins, 17-3, with 3:10 left in the first half.

Goedert scores 2nd TD of season

Dallas Goedert hauled in his second touchdown of the season to give the Birds the lead in the second quarter. 

Goedert took a screen pass from Jalen Hurts 19 yards to take a 10-3 lead against the Dolphins. 

So far, Goedert has four catches for 67 yards and his score.

Dolphins tie game, 3-3

After Jalen Hurts' fumble, the Dolphins tied the game, 3-3, several plays later. 

Dolphins kicker Jason Sanders hit a 40-yard field goal with 59 seconds left in the first quarter. 

The Dolphins had a touchdown to Tyreek Hill, but it was negated due to a holding penalty. 

Now, Hurts and the offense will try to rebound from their previous drive.

Hurts fumbles, Dolphins recover

On the Eagles' second drive of the game, Jalen Hurts fumbled and the Dolphins recovered. 

Hurts had plenty of time to throw the ball but Bradley Chubb forced the ball out of Hurts' hands and Jaelan Phillips recovered it. 

The recovery sets the Dolphins up deep in Eagles' territory.

Eagles settle for FG

Jake Elliott booted in a 24-yard field goal to give the Birds a 3-0 lead early in the first quarter. 

The Eagles drove down the field in just over seven minutes but stalled once again in the red zone after offensive coordinator Brian Johnson called three straight runs.

The day Birds fans have been waiting for is finally here. 

The Eagles will debut their throwback Kelly Green uniforms against the Dolphins and they're looking pretty sharp.

Eagles WRs take photo with DeSean Jackson, Ochocinco

Before the Eagles play the Dolphins, some of the team's wideouts took a picture with some former Birds wideouts. 

A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and new Eagles wideout Julio Jones snapped a picture with former Birds wideout DeSean Jackson and Chad Ochocinco. 

Jones will make his Eagles debut against the Dolphins after signing with the team this week.
