ATTLEBORO, Mass. (CBS/AP) A Massachusetts woman has been charged with disguising herself as a man so she could rob her 79-year-old grandmother.

Authorities said Rachelle O'Handley, and an accomplice, went to the alleged victim's North Attleborough home last Tuesday wearing a mask and layers of clothing, so her grandmother wouldn't recognize her.

The 23-year-old O'Handley allegedly made off with some jewelry that the grandmother and her husband recognized as belonging to them.

The disguised granddaughter was ordered held without bail on Wednesday at her arraignment in Attleboro District Court, after pleading not guilty to breaking and entering, larceny and assault.

The Sun Chronicle reported that O'Handley's alleged accomplice, Katherine German, was released on $1,000 bail.

Lawyers for both suspects said the evidence against their clients is thin.
