Witherspoon Files For Divorce

Actress Reese Witherspoon has filed for divorce from her actor-husband Ryan Phillippe, nearly two weeks after announcing her separation from him.

In the Los Angeles court filling, Witherspoon lists "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for seeking divorce. She's seeking custody of the couple's children -- seven-year-old Ava and three-year-old Deacon -- and has asked for the house.

The 30-year-old Witherspoon grew up in the Nashville area. In March, she won an Oscar for her role as June Carter Cash in the movie "Walk the Line."

Phillippe is 32 and costarred in the best-picture Oscar winner "Crash." He also co-stars in the currently playing World War Two drama "Flags of Our Fathers."

The two married after starring opposite each other in "Cruel Intentions," which was released in 1999.
