At 80, Willard Scott marries girlfriend

NBC says 80-year-old Willard Scott has tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend.

The veteran "Today" show personality and Paris Keena were wed Tuesday in Fort Myers, Fla. They have been together for about 11 years, "Today" host Matt Lauer said in sharing the news on Wednesday morning's telecast.

The jovial Scott, billed as the program's weather reporter and centenarian, has been a part of "Today" since 1980.

Lauer framed the announcement as "another surprise wedding" in the "Today" family.

Scott was married to Mary Dwyer Scott from 1959 until she died in 2002. He has two children.

Last month, co-anchor Savannah Guthrie made an on-the-air announcement of her marriage to communications strategist Mike Feldman two days earlier. She also told viewers she was four months pregnant.
