Will Ferrell's Flick Revs Up Big Week

Here's what's coming your way this week in theatres, on TV, and more.

MOVIES:

Goofball Will Ferrell stars as a not-so-swift race car driver in the new comedy "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby," which hits theaters Aug. 4 … Also on Aug. 4, Nickelodeon Movies presents"Barnyard: The Original Party Animals," a CGI flick starring Kevin James ("The King Of Queens") as Otis, a party-loving cow who learns what it takes to be a responsible leader … Based on the bestselling novel by Armistead Marpin, the psychological thriller "The Night Listener" also opens on Aug. 4 and in it Robin Williams stars as a radio show host who develops a telephone relationship with a young listener.

TV:

"One Ocean View," the new reality show about 11 ambitious New Yorkers who descend upon Fire Island, N.Y. for some summer fun and flings begins Monday July 31 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.

Paul F. Tompkins visits Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly on the set of "Talladega Nights" for Comedy Central's "Reel Comedy: Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby," airing Tuesday Aug. 1 at 7 p.m. ET. Ferrell's tips on professional racing are sure to be a laugh.

Danny Bonaduce returns to TV as host of Game Show Network's new show "Starface" that tests the tabloid knowledge of three celebrity-loving contestants. It premieres Tuesday Aug. 1 at 9pm ET.

Aug. 2 brings the series finale of Dane Cook's docu-comedy series "Tourgasm" at 11 pm ET on HBO. In the final episode Cook and his pals look back at the "Tourgasm" experience and gear up for a new adventure.

Watch the film that brought Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie together. "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" premieres Saturday Aug. 5 at 8 pm ET on HBO. You'll get a kick out of the screen time Pitt and Vince Vaughn share even more the second time around.

MUSIC:

The following albums will be available Tuesday, Aug. 1: "Superman (Its Not Easy)" by Five For Fighting became a 9/11 anthem, now the L.A.-based band hopes for another hit with its third album "Two Lights" ... Stone Sour's sophomore album "Come What(ever) May," comes out this week and Billboard calls it "an intense, taut piece of work where every song could be a single." … Rapper DMX's eagerly awaited new album, "Year of the Dog … Again" marks his return from a three-year hiatus.

DVD:

"V for Vendetta," the futuristic thriller for which actress Natalie Portman shaved her head last year, is available on DVD Tuesday Aug. 1. … Season five of Larry David's hit HBO series, "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and the first and only season of Lisa Kudrow's critically acclaimed HBO series "The Comeback" are also available Aug. 1.
